Frequently asked questions

Answers to our most popular questions

What is the Leadership Implementation Lab?

The Leadership Implementation Lab is a weekly support experience designed to help you apply what you’re learning in real time.

It provides ongoing access to:

• twice-weekly office hours
• priority Q&A support
• guidance on your specific organizational challenges

This is where you move from learning → implementation.

What can I ask during lab sessions?

You can bring questions related to:

• fundraising strategy
• budgeting and financial decisions
• program development
• board challenges
• team management
• systems and workflows
• messaging and positioning

Answers are generally limited to 5 minutes or less. More time is given to answers if time permits. We try to ensure that all leaders have an opportunity to ask questions.

If your question is not answered during lab sessions, you can bring them to the next lab session or ask in the exclusive access discussion portal. Lab participants have priority access to having questions answered during member Q & A sessions.

What does “priority Q&A access” mean?

If your question is not answered during the lab session, you can bring them to the next lab session or ask in the exclusive access discussion portal. Lab participants have priority access to having questions answered during member Q & A sessions.

Do I need to attend every session?

No.

You can attend as often as needed based on your schedule.

Some members attend weekly, while others join and use the space to learn from the experiences of other nonprofit leaders.

Is this only for people in the certification program?

While it pairs well with the certification, it is not required.

However, members who have completed or are enrolled in the certification often get the most value because they are actively implementing what they’ve learned.

What if I’m not sure what to ask?

That’s completely normal.

Many leaders join with general uncertainty, and through conversation, we help:

• clarify your priorities
• identify next steps
• guide your decision-making

How is this different from the certification program?

The certification program provides the framework and structure.

The Leadership Implementation Lab provides:

real-time support
feedback
accountability

Think of it as:

program = learning
lab = implementation

Will I receive personalized advice?

Yes.

While sessions are held in a group format, your questions and challenges are addressed directly, making the experience highly relevant to your organization.

How quickly will I see results?

Many members experience immediate clarity after just one session.

However, the greatest results come from:

consistent participation
applying what you learn

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes.

This is a monthly membership, and you can cancel at any time.

What if I can’t attend live?

Even if you can’t attend every session, you can still benefit by:

• submitting questions in advance

• attending future sessions when available

• reviewing past lab sessions

Is this worth $97/month?

If you value:

• having a space to ask questions
• making faster, more confident decisions
• avoiding costly mistakes

Then this level of support can save you time, reduce stress, and accelerate your progress.

What happens if I don’t join?

Without ongoing support, many leaders:

• delay decisions
• feel stuck
• repeat avoidable mistakes

This space helps you move forward with clarity and confidence.

What if I want to remain anonymous?

The purpose of the lab sessions are to help you solve real challenges your organization is currently facing.

That is the focus each session.

All cameras are off during sessions. When providing questions, you can give your actual name/organization, a preferred name, or no name at all.

You are also encouraged to share challenges without sharing identifying details.

The Lab is designed to be a supportive and comfortable space for all leaders - without feeling exposed or uncomfortable.
